On Saturday 29 July, a small contingent of Club members did their club proud by setting out their stand in the centre of the small Wiltshire town of Calne.
On the last Saturday of every year, the town opens its doors to everything motorcycle related. The event has been run for several years now and has gone from strength to strength, now attracting hundreds of motorcyclists and thousands of spectators.
The club last had a stand there in 2019 and were very well received, so much so that the organisers were keen to have us back the next year. Unfortunately, due to COVID the club wouldn't return until 2022. Last year however, the date of the event coincided with our annual rally, the Blue Haze, so Calne was the destination for the Saturday ride out when we stole the show with a procession of over 70 Kettles!
So once again, this year we were back in our allocated prime position with just 6 bikes on display, but we were mobbed by an appreciative crowd all day, leaving no doubt that the Kettle holds a special place in the hearts of motorcyclists and the general public alike. See you there next year!
