Suggested by some old hands to have been one of, if not THE best Rallies in the clubs 27 year history; the event held over the last 4 days of July was certainly the largest managed by the club, with over 150 members, partners and guests taking part and over 80 Kettles on parade. Everyone was in the mood to make the most of the occasion. As one member put it - "It was like the last 2 disappointing years never happened. Everyone just picked up from where they left off as though we'd never been apart!"
The facility at the Fire Service College in Moreton in the Marsh, proved to be an ideal location for such an event and even the weather behaved itself. There were ride-outs on both the Friday and Saturday; Friday's was an exploration of the Cotswold countryside at its finest, whilst Saturday's took the club to the Bike Festival in Calne, Wiltshire and featured 72 Kettles - another club record! Both went like clockwork, with just a couple of minor technical issues dealt with.
Entertainment wise, there were the usual Rally favourites and the band 'Seahorse Pilots' had almost everyone on their feet on the Saturday night and £400 was raised for the Wings for Life charity.
Next year's event will see the club returning to The Olde Barn Hotel, Marston Lincs. 19 - 22 July 2023. Put it in your diaries!
