THE NORTHERN IRELAND MOTORCYCLE FESTIVAL

20th January 2019

For the first time in the Club’s history, we’re going to venture out beyond these shores (as a Club event) and will be setting up our stand at the N I Motorcycle Fest, being held at the Eikon Exhibition Centre, Belfast, over the weekend of the 9th/10th February. The Club’s Chairman and its Membership Sec Dave Hewitson and Skid Brown, will be loading up a van to take all the gear via ferry, picking up Nick Lowe along the way. Another couple of guy’s will be flying over to meet us there. Along with the now famous sectioned engine; Dave and Skid will be taking a couple of interesting machines with them, one of which is an M model that was built entirely from new old stock parts, about 20 years ago. The bike looks like it just came out of the showroom and is probably the most original factory spec bike in the world! Accompanying this will be a fully restored K model, which was nothing but a ‘basket case’ a year ago.

At the show, the guys from the main land will be joined by 5 of our Irish members and their bikes, which should make for a full and very interesting stand for the punters to gawp at. This whole event would not have been possible, if it were not for the generosity of the show’s organiser Billy Nutt, who kindly invited us and is contributing considerably to our costs. Many, many thanks Billy, for making this happen.
