The only sad moment of the recent AGM and Rally, was the announcement that our long-standing Chairman Chris Barsby, was stepping down after 5 years of sterling service in the role that he had truly made his own. In his typically understated manner; Chris said that it was time for some new blood at the top and graciously handed over the mantle to Dave Hewitson, our Events Manager. Dave noted that in accepting the post, he had some big shoes to fill (quite literally!) but promised to give the club 110 percent and those who know him, will know that he's a man of his word. Incidentally, Dave will be remaining as our Events Manager for the foreseeable future too. The membership will be glad to know that the rest of the committee, stands intact for yet another year and the Club remains in very good hands.
