Suzuki GT750
Welcome to the Kettle Club Website ! A number of areas are complete and we hope that you enjoy the new layout and features as you visit the different sections. We are still working on a range of features and will alert you to the areas that are ‘Under Construction’. A considerable amount of information from the old site has been transferred over to this new site – if it ain’t broke don’t fix it! Thank you Malcolm! |
Along with the layout changes we are providing a public gallery which visitors can submit photographs and or video’s. These will be subjected to a 72 hour approval process for confirmation before they appear on the site. If it’s not Suzuki GT750 related it will not be loaded! Kettle Club members ( using their Kettle club membership number and a password ) will be able to load up to four photographs into the members area under the model range with a brief description and information. This will be verified within 72 hours. This will be visible to visitors but only members’ bikes will be displayed. Events – go to this page and see what events are planned in the current year. You can also see the events from the past. New to this site is the option to load up events if you are a Kettle Club member. Local gatherings or ride outs or shows can be listed. Kettle Club members who fancy a ride out can inform us of their plans and attract others to the event. Just complete the details and within 72 hours it will be listed under latest events! The iconic Suzuki GT750 is a motorcycle that all of us in Kettle Club have grown to love, cherish and ride! You don’t have to own a Kettle to become a member, just a healthy interest in this classic Suzuki is that’s all required. In standard guise with its large radiator and massive chrome 3 – 4 exhaust system they attract a lot of attention and admiration. Though a little soft in its ride they are extremely comfortable and capable touring machines. Indeed the names suggests this from the Suzuki range of the 1970’s , a Grand Tourer 750cc 2 stroke. Actually a 738cc engine from the days of flared trousers , platform boots and mini skirts ( nice ) – and Barry Sheene. With its 68bhp it’s not going to worry many people but it does require a firm grip when riding through twisty B roads. You get a full appreciation of this torque filled engine as you accelerate. It’s a fantastic feeling and rewards its owner with that great howl from the engine! The vast majority of owners prefer to keep their bikes in standard trim and will go to extraordinary lengths to keep them as Suzuki built them. From 1972 to 1977 these bikes rolled off the production line and out to the world. So here we are some thirty years later and we still love them! There remains a cult following throughout the world for the Suzuki GT750 and whether you call yours a Kettle or a Water Buffalo we remain devoted to this fantastic motorcycle. Members and Owners alike ride and restore, show and compete all over the world. From Finland to New Zealand. From Canada to Australia . Throughout main land Europe and Great Britain the ‘song remains the same’. Listen to the bike with its standard exhaust system for that lovely burble or hear it through a set of screaming expansion chambers. J models to B models , Dunstalls , or Roca’s , Specials, Sanders & Lewis the range of Kettle ownership attracts a broad spectrum of enthusiasts. The club sell items of Regalia, provides discounts, a quarterly magazine and advise to new members and old. Shows and events are regularly supported by The Kettle Club and area meetings in the UK are enhanced with trips to Europe. The Kettle Club is a voluntary organisation with its AGM held in July. The club exists for the Suzuki GT750 and is supported by a loyal group of members that have a passion for a bike they enjoy to ride, show and maintain. We hope you enjoy the site and its areas and look forward to you joining the Kettle Club very soon !!
